Afripeace Sustainable development Foundation

The 19th Annual Peace Education and Scholarship Awards, organized by Afripeace Sustainable Development Foundation in collaboration with the Professor Ernest E. Uwazie Foundation on the 13th January 2026 recorded massive success at the Comprehensive Secondary School Umuezeala Ogwara (CSSUO). The event focused on the pivotal role of youth in nation-building under the theme, “Empowering Young Nigerian Youths as Architects of Peace and Sustainable Development”. The program featured a high-level keynote address by Rev. Father Dr. John Enyinnaya, an inter-school peace quiz competition, and the awarding of significant university scholarships. Beyond education, the foundations expanded their community impact through the donation of medical equipment to the local health center and the review of a revolving loan scheme for economic empowerment. Over 300 individuals participated, sharing their perspectives and offering suggestions for implementation. The event successfully engaged traditional rulers, clergy, educators, and hundreds of students in a collective commitment to non-violence and community development.
