Peace camping programs for school students

Our Peace Camps provide school students with a safe and engaging environment to learn about peacebuilding, teamwork, and leadership. Through interactive workshops, games, storytelling, and group activities, students are empowered to resolve conflicts peacefully and build strong relationships across cultural and social divides.

Skill Acquisition Training

To foster economic independence and reduce poverty-driven conflict, we provide training in vocational and entrepreneurial skills. Participants especially youth and women gain practical knowledge in areas such as tailoring, ICT, crafts, and small business management, helping them to secure livelihoods and contribute positively to their communities.

Peace and conflict resolution

This program equips participants with practical skills to prevent, manage, and resolve conflicts in their schools and communities. By combining training, dialogue sessions, and role-play exercises, we help young people and community members adopt peaceful approaches to addressing disputes and fostering mutual respect.

Annual Peace Education Lecture and Scholarship Awards

Each year, Afri-peace hosts a high-profile Peace Education Lecture featuring thought leaders, academics, and practitioners. The event provides a platform to discuss pressing peace and development issues while also recognizing and supporting outstanding students with scholarships, ensuring that the next generation of peace leaders is well-equipped to succeed.

Peer mediation

We train students to serve as peer mediators within their schools, enabling them to help classmates resolve disagreements constructively. This initiative nurtures responsibility, empathy, and leadership in young people, while reducing violence, bullying, and tension within learning environments.

Peace Educator Fellowship Program

The Peace Educator Fellowship trains teachers and youth mentors across Nigeria to integrate peace education and restorative justice into their classrooms and communities. Fellows receive specialized training, resources, and ongoing mentorship to equip them with practical tools for promoting nonviolence, empathy, and problem-solving among young people.

Community empowerment programs

Afri-peace works directly with local communities to promote unity, civic engagement, and grassroots peace initiatives. Our empowerment programs encourage dialogue, community service projects, and the strengthening of local networks to create sustainable peace at the community level.

Our Loan Scheme Project offers loans to educators/schools and small business owners, particularly women and youth. By providing access to financial resources and mentoring, the program empowers individuals to launch and sustain income-generating ventures that promote stability, reduce economic inequality, and foster peaceful communities.
